Dolomya is a company specialized in manufacturing of top range antique-finished marble and glass products: our main and most evaluated product line has given the name to the company, which was founded in Treviso in the early Nineties by Damiano Pozzobon.
Initially born as a semi-artisan firm, it has reached industrial dimensions by the mid-Nineties, years hallmarked by continuous research for innovative products ain both the fields of marble and glass, although maintaining the handicraft and the philosophy typical of the company's artisan roots.
At Dolomya passion and enthusiasm are common assets of those cooperating in presenting shapes which are new though ancient, and often it is the youngest assistants to indicate directions which will become the guiding lines for the creation of our distinguishing aesthetical solutions.
The 'mission' that has always guided our commercial and strategic choices has always been the research for an avant-garde production, unique in its looks and in its technical features.
Following this ambitious target, throughout the years many refined and exclusive products have been created, such as the select line of Dolomya marbles, the marbles of the new Opus Maximum line that render all beauty and essence of real antique-finished marble, together with the Murano artisan glass, with their strong and vibrant colours deriving from the ancient Venetian tradition.
All these projects have been carried out through years of research which have also led to the creation of machinery and production lines which are unique in their kind, and that allow production of surfaces that do not betray the noble origin of the raw material, but instead respects, celebrates and dignifies it, finally cancelling the cold and dull uniformity of industrial products.
Nevertheless, the aspect of practicality of the materials has been carefully considered: specific care has been given to research of surface treatment to be resistant and reliable, capable to maintain unaltered in time the exterior appearance, without compromising the natural beauty of its reflections and colours. Waxing, filling and most of all an hydro-oil repellent hot treatment, turn the raw material into a pleasingly waved surface, preserving its superb beauty for decades.
